Our vision is to see people saved, transformed, discipled and serving by the power and presence of God.

Mission

Our mission of building the Jesus Culture of Community is given by God to create a healthy, nurturing and thriving community of believers who serve God and one another by the power of the transformative love of Jesus Christ.

We experience His merciful and gracious love as we invoke His presence by prayer, worship, and the teaching of His Word. As we lead people to salvation, they experience freedom, find their purpose, and make a difference not only here at Church of His Presence, but in the Kingdom of God

Leadership

Jordan & Mindy Bradford

Senior Pastors

Jordan Bradford is in passionate, continual pursuit of the Word of God. This passion drives him to find ways to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in ways that are applicable in the daily life of every believer. This commitment to the call has sent Jordan both across this country and abroad sharing the Truth to thousands of people. In 2015, Jordan and his wife Mindy founded The Refuge Church in Southeast Ohio. The Refuge came into existence as an outgrowth of another work founded by Pastor Jordan and his brother Pastor Isaac. In 2011, the brothers co-founded the Freedom for Appalachia Community Development Organization (FACDO – facdo.org), a non-profit whose purpose is to provide meaningful, life-changing services, programs, and opportunities to the people of the Appalachian region. As a result of the efforts of FACDO, The Refuge Church took form, providing a local gathering for volunteers and those positively impacted by FACDO to gather together and glorify the Lord while growing together spiritually. Pastor Jordan and Mindy currently reside in Parkersburg, WV, with their daughter, Nora and their son, Baron.

What We Believe

God

There is only One True God—revealed in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s Son, Jesus was both human and divine.

The Bible

The Scriptures are inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.

Fall of Man

Although originally good, man willingly fell into sin—ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.

Salvation

Every person can have restored fellowship with God through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

Church Ordinances

We practice two ordinances:

Water Baptism by immersion and Holy Communion.

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation that empowers believers.

EVIDENCE OF THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

The initial physical evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is “Speaking in Tongues.”

SANCTIFICATION

Sanctification initially occurs at salvation and is also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers become more Christlike.

THE CHURCH

We believe “the Church” is the Body of Christ and consists of people who have accepted God’s offer of redemption through Jesus Christ.

THE MINISTRY

A divinely called and scripturally ordained leadership ministry serves the Church.

DIVINE HEALING

Divine healing of the sick is a privilege for Christians today.

THE RAPTURE

This blessed hope is when Jesus raptures His Church prior to His return to earth (the Second Coming).

MILLENNIAL REIGN OF CHRIST

The Millennial Reign of Christ is when Jesus returns with His saints at His Second Coming and begins His rule over earth for 1,000 years.

FINAL JUDGMENT

A final judgment will take place for those who have rejected Christ.

NEW HEAVENS AND NEW EARTH

We believe and look forward to the perfect New Heavens and New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him.

MARRIAGE

We believe in the sacredness of marriage between one man and one woman.

TITHING

We believe in the Biblical principle of tithing.
